Whether you’re a high school student, college student, nontraditional, or adult-learner, colleges offer scholarships to recruit a talented and diverse student body. Scholarships are an alternative to loans. Whether you’re a student or thinking of becoming a student, scholarships can be helpful in funding your education.
Below, you’ll find the criteria for scholarships available to current and prospective CSN students.
Review qualification criteria
The first step is to make sure you qualify for the scholarship. Apply for every scholarship for which you are eligible. Every dollar you win in scholarships is a dollar less you have to borrow.
Consider scholarships of all sizes
Larger scholarships may be very appealing, but they are also very competitive. Your chances of winning a small scholarship may be greater – and winning several small scholarships can add up to big money!
Keep an eye on deadline dates
Check scholarship application deadlines regularly and add them to your calendar so you don’t miss an opportunity. Make sure to give yourself enough time to complete the application.
Repurpose or reuse your essays
Writing a strong essay can help you stand out among applicants. Essays can often be reused on multiple scholarship applications with slight tweaks, saving you a lot of time.
