Scholarships on the 2022-2023 Academic Year Application

50th Anniversary Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Thanks to the College of Southern Nevada Foundation, we will be able to award 50 scholarships to commemorate College of Southern Nevada’s 50 years serving Southern Nevada by empowering students and communities to achieve, succeed, and prosper.

African American Heritage Committee Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the African American Heritage Committee. The committee works to promote cultural awareness, inclusivity, and welcomes all individuals interested in learning about and supporting the African American and black cultures and communities.

All-Access Committee Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the All-Access Committee. The All-Access Committee works to identify and/or create access opportunities and initiatives that lead to educational success for DACA and undocumented students.

Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Committee Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Committee. The Committee hosts cultural events and provides guidance and support for CSN’s AAPI community.

Bruce Marshall Dunn Culinary Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This memorial scholarship was created by the Dunn family to help support a CSN student in the Culinary program.

Cardenas Market Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
The Cardenas Markets Foundation scholarship supports students who have a relentless desire to achieve their dreams for a higher education and express a commitment to serve their community.

Coyote Athletics Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is designed for students who have made a contribution to the College of Southern Nevada and/or their community through their participation in athletics.

CSN Foundation Student Success Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
In support of CSNs vision of student success, the CSN Foundation has created these scholarships to support students in their education journey.

Devon Stone Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is in memory of Devon Stone, a member of the College of Southern Nevada’s GEAR UP & Academic Advising. A dedicated community advocate whose passion for wellness inspired and motivated all who had a chance to work with him.

George Floyd Memorial
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and CSN Foundation established the George Floyd Memorial Scholarship in response to the racial justice movement his death symbolizes.

Global Engagement Alliance Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Global Engagement Alliance. The committee aims to work toward promoting global awareness through exploration of the cultural components and celebrations present in our community.

Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,100
The Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship Program has partnered with education and workforce development to positively impact future generations of the skilled trades, public safety and supply chain professionals.

Hites Family MGM Mirage Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $8,000
This endowed scholarship was established by the Hites Family and MGM Mirage to support CSN students pursuing a four-year degree at another NSHE institution. This $8,000 scholarship per student is paid over four semesters to complete their bachelor’s degree.

Latino Alliance Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Latino Alliance. The Latino Alliance is a faculty and staff association with the purpose of creating a community and support network for all Latino/Hispanic faculty, staff, and students at the College of Southern Nevada.

Leslie and Joan Dunn Nursing Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
The Dunn family created this scholarship to help support students pursuing their nursing degree at CSN.

Military and Veterans Alliance Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Military and Veterans Alliance. The Military & Veterans Alliance (MVA) seeks to unite the various service individuals who are students of CSN together to share and learn about one another’s experiences and identities.

Native American Alliance Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Native American Alliance. The Native American Alliance unites College of Southern Nevada Indigenous students to learn about cultural identities.

Queer Inclusive Campus Committee Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Queer Inclusive Campus Committee. The committee supports LGTBQA (Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual, Queer/Questioning, and Asexual/aromantic) students, faculty, and staff.

Ralph & Betty Engelstad SHS Limited Entry Program
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
The Ralph & Betty Engelstad School of Health Sciences Limited Entry Scholarship is awarded to students in the limited entry program who demonstrates excellence in academics, and an ability to overcome traditional barriers to learning.

Robert E. Clark Photography Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $500
The Clark family created this scholarship to benefit undergraduates enrolled in the CSN’s Photography program.

Student Leadership Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is to recognize students who have made significant contributions to the College and/or Southern Nevada community through participation in clubs, organizations, student government, or community service/volunteer-work.

Women’s Alliance Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is named for the Women’s Alliance. The Women’s Alliance is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the female spirit while educating, inspiring, and empowering future generations to cultivate a diverse society where the contributions of all are celebrated and recognized.
