Our Impact

Empowering Students to Achieve, Succeed, and Prosper

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) serves more than 40,000 students across three campuses and eight learning centers. Many are the first in their families to attend college and they balance jobs, families, and everyday challenges while pursuing their education.

At the CSN Foundation, our mission is to foster the academic success of our students through community engagement and philanthropic efforts.

As the philanthropic and fundraising arm of the college, the CSN Foundation is dedicated to supporting the academic success of all CSN students.

By identifying student academic needs and addressing the barriers students face, the Foundation plays a pivotal role in helping students stay on course toward graduation.

CSN Foundation awarded $848,710 in scholarships.

629 individual scholarships were awarded to students.

244 Students received financial assistance from the Student Emergency Fund.

Scholarships: Opening Doors to Opportunity

In FY 2023–24, donors made it possible for 629 students to receive scholarships totaling $848,710. The average scholarship award to support a student’s educational journey was $2,500.

Scholarships give students the confidence to focus on learning, not financial stress.

Student Emergency Fund: A Lifeline in Hard Times

When unexpected expenses strike – car repairs, medical bills, or housing emergencies – the Student Emergency Fund (SEF) helps keep students enrolled and on track.

In FY 2023–24:

  • 244 students received aid
  • $110,590 distributed in assistance
  • The average SEF Award was $453.24

Coyote Cupboard: Nourishing Student Success

Food insecurity is one of the biggest barriers to education. The Coyote Cupboard provides free groceries, produce, hygiene items, and school supplies, helping students stay nourished, focused, and ready to learn.

  • 40,000+ visits since 2018 10,800 visits in the past year
  • The Coyote Cupboard is supported by the CSN Foundation and community partners.
