Alumni Spotlight: Braiden Green
Braiden Green graduated from Rancho High School in 2003 and was part of the school’s first magnet program graduating class. Braiden graduated from the pre-medical program and obtained an EMT certificate.
Upon graduating, he immediately enrolled in CSN to earn an EMT certification. He enjoyed taking classes and valued the instruction and guidance he received under Professor Nancy Cassell. After earning his certificate, Braiden immediately secured employment with Southwest Ambulance and, while working there, took classes to earn his associate of applied science degree in paramedic medicine in 2012.
He would later secure a managerial role with the American Medical Response Las Vegas and teach part-time for the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). In the fall of 2011, he became full-time with the college and soon thereafter became director of the program. Braiden worked to enhance the program and secured an ambulance simulator and advanced manikins to simulate actual scenarios for students.
Braiden is now Chair of CSN’s Criminal Justice and Emergency Services department, where he works to help coordinate programming that is beneficial to first responders.
